Show traffic and error counters of a network interface

Adjust the values, the command updates live

ip -s link show eth0

Prints the counters for received (RX) and transmitted (TX) bytes and packets of the interface, plus errors and dropped packets. Rising values for errors or dropped point to hardware, driver or overload problems. The counters run since the interface was brought up.

Note: Depending on the system, the interface may be named ens3, enp0s31f6 or similar. ip -br link lists all names.
