Stop a service and disable autostart

Caution: This command changes the system. Understand what it does before you run it.

Adjust the values, the command updates live
root@server
systemctl disable --now cups

Removes the autostart links and stops the service in one step. Makes sense for services that are not needed on a web server. To undo it, use systemctl enable --now.

Note: A disabled service can still be started by other units or via socket activation. It is only truly blocked with systemctl mask. Services managed by Plesk are better controlled through the Plesk interface.
