Change the role of a WordPress user

Caution: This command changes the system. Understand what it does before you run it.

Adjust the values, the command updates live
user@server
wp user set-role editorial editor --path=/var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs

Replaces all existing roles of the user with the given role. The user can be specified by login, email or ID. Common roles are administrator, editor, author, contributor and subscriber.

Note: Demoting the last administrator locks you out of the dashboard. Check with wp user list --role=administrator first.
