Show the disk usage of Docker containers

root@server
docker ps -a --size

Adds the SIZE column to the container list. The first value is the container’s writable layer, the value in parentheses (virtual) also includes the underlying image. If the first number keeps growing, the application is writing data into the container instead of a volume.

Note: With many containers, the calculation can take a few seconds. Docker commands require root or the docker group.
