Find out which process is using a port

Adjust the values, the command updates live
root@server
ss -tlnp 'sport = :80'

Lists listening TCP sockets (-tl) on the given port with numeric addresses (-n) and the owning process (-p). The Process column contains program name and PID, for example users:(("nginx",pid=812,fd=6)). Typical reason: Apache or nginx will not start because the port is already taken.

Note: Without root, process details are missing for other users’ processes. For UDP ports use -ulnp instead of -tlnp.
