Watch Redis commands live for a short time (MONITOR)

Adjust the values, the command updates live
user@server
timeout 10 redis-cli MONITOR

Prints every incoming command with timestamp, database number and client address, and stops automatically after the given time. Useful for seeing whether a website uses the cache at all or which keys are read during a page request. Pipe through | grep to filter for specific keys.

Note: On busy servers, MONITOR costs noticeable performance and can halve throughput. Use it only briefly and never leave it running. The output may contain sensitive data.
