root@server
run-parts --verbose /etc/cron.daily

Starts all executable scripts in the directory one after another and announces each before it starts. Useful for checking after a change whether all jobs run without errors. On Debian these include logrotate, man-db or dpkg, which do real work in the process.

Note: Check first with run-parts --test what would run. On systems where these jobs are handled by systemd timers, they may end up running twice.
