Optimize the WordPress database

Caution: This command changes the system. Understand what it does before you run it.

Adjust the values, the command updates live

wp db optimize --path=/var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs

Runs mysqlcheck --optimize on the database from wp-config.php. InnoDB tables are rebuilt, which can reclaim space after deleting many revisions or transients. Worthwhile after larger cleanups.

Note: Tables may be locked briefly during optimization. Run it outside peak hours on large databases.
