Reset the Plesk admin password from the command line

Caution: This command changes the system. Understand what it does before you run it.

Adjust the values, the command updates live
root@server
plesk bin admin --set-admin-password -passwd 'NewSecurePassword'

Replaces the password of the Plesk administrator admin. Plesk checks it against the configured password strength and rejects passwords that are too weak. Useful when the password is lost and no other administrator exists.

Note: The password ends up in the shell history. If you only need quick access to the panel, plesk login creates a one-time link without changing the password.

Open question before approval: Syntax --set-admin-password -passwd auf Obsidian 18.0.x bestätigen. Für einen reinen Zugang ist plesk login ohne Passwortänderung oft die bessere Wahl.
