Show server manufacturer, model and serial number

root@server
dmidecode -s system-manufacturer && dmidecode -s system-product-name && dmidecode -s system-serial-number

Prints manufacturer, model and serial number in three lines, as stored in the BIOS or UEFI. On self-built and rented servers this often shows only the mainboard or a placeholder like To Be Filled By O.E.M.; in that case dmidecode -s baseboard-product-name helps.

Note: On virtual servers, the hypervisor’s designation appears, for example KVM or Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009). If the command is missing: apt install dmidecode.
